SOURCING INTELLIGENCE for
every raw material you buy.

THE FINCHES PLATFORM

Finches puts what’s happening in the world, from weather and climate to politics and trade, in the context of your raw materials, your suppliers and what your team knows. It tells you what each risk means for you and where to act, with the evidence behind every alert.

Live with enterprise food manufacturers.

What you get

A head start on every sourcing decision

Finches puts what’s happening in the world in the context of your raw materials. It tells your team which origin needs attention while there is still time to change the plan: buy earlier, sample differently or line up a second supplier.

Move before the market does

A frost in week 12 means something different for spinach than for almonds. Our agentic system puts every signal in the context of your crops, varieties and suppliers, then tells you where to act and what to do.

Keep what your agronomists know

Your agronomists record each farm visit by voice, photo and notes, even offline. By the time they are back in the car, the visit is a structured report that procurement and quality can search.

Why Finches

Why us, and not the others.

The risk tools

They tell you the world is risky. They don’t know which of your fields is affected.

The farm tools

Built for the person growing the crop. You are the person buying it.

Finches

A named block, a named grower, a named week, with the evidence behind it.

The part nobody built

Your agronomists’ knowledge, in the same model as weather, satellite and trade.

What makes it work

Answers your team can act on.

The technology behind every alert, from the first note in the field to what it means for your business. Built for sourcing teams, quality, agronomists and CFOs.

Capture

From spoken observation to structured record. In seconds.

An agronomist walks a field and talks. The Finches app records what she says, even offline, and photos, videos and notes attach to the right plot. By the time she is back in the car, the visit is a searchable, audit-ready report.

There are no forms to fill and no transcripts to clean up, and nothing gets lost between the field and the desk.

The knowledge that used to die in a WhatsApp thread or a notebook now stays in your records, filed by supplier, variety and season.

Intelligence foundation

Software that knows spinach from ginger.

Most sourcing tools treat data as generic rows and columns. Finches is built on its own model of agriculture: crops, varieties, plots, contracts, lab measurements and the conditions that affect each of them.

A Brix reading on grapes is not the same as one on tomatoes. A frost in week 12 means something different for spinach than for almonds. Our agentic system knows the difference.

Alerts are specific, queries return real answers, and the same platform that handles spinach in Murcia handles cocoa in Ghana without rewriting the rules.

ContextEarly access

What your company knows, built into every answer.

Our agentic system reads the world outside your company: weather and climate, crop science, local news, politics and trade. The next step is the knowledge inside it. Upload your own documents, such as specifications, standards, internal guidelines or supplier agreements, or send them to us and we’ll add them. They become part of the context Finches works with, next to what your agronomists record in the field.

That opens up use cases we build together with partners in our Early Access Program: linking raw materials to your recipes and finished products, checking origins against organic and other standards, or bringing your production plan and costs into the picture. Each of these needs more than documents alone, which is why we build them with you.

Join our Early Access Program and we’ll build your use case with you.

Plain language across your entire supply base.

Type a question and get the answer, with the underlying data one click away. There is nothing to configure, no SQL to write and no analyst queue to wait in.

Ask the same way you would ask a colleague who happens to know every plot, every contract and every visit by heart.

Your sourcing team gets the answer while the decision is still open.

Reason

Where your data meets the world.

Your contracts, field visits and lab results meet weather forecasts, satellite imagery, soil data, crop science, local news and trade rules. Finches connects them to your suppliers and your specifications.

It picks up patterns no one could keep in their head, as soon as they form.

Most sourcing risk tools stop at the region. Finches goes down to the supplier, the variety and the contract.

Capture on the farm

On a Tuesday morning in early April, an agronomist visits two of the four suppliers. On three of nine plots she records short voice notes describing yellowing on lower leaves and a faint white coating on the underside. Four photos attached. By the time she is at the next farm, the visit reports are structured, attached to the right plots and uploaded.

Consolidate in the workspace

Back at HQ, the Quality Lead opens the Murcia map view. Three plots are flagged. Yesterday’s lab feed shows nitrate readings drifting upward on the same plots. Last year, this combination preceded downy mildew outbreaks across the region. The pattern is now sitting on a single screen.

Reason over every signal

Our agentic system pulls the next 10 days of weather: above-average humidity, three forecast rain events, daytime temperatures climbing into the window where downy mildew accelerates. It connects this to the Q2 contract: 22% of the contracted volume is now flagged at elevated risk of failing quality spec. A personalized alert lands with the Sourcing Lead with two next steps: work with the growers on the plots at risk, and cover the volume that may fall short through a known supplier in Puglia with uncommitted capacity.

Decide as a team

The Sourcing Lead goes through the evidence behind the alert. The agronomist agrees on the next steps in the field with the growers, quality samples the flagged plots first, and procurement asks the supplier in Puglia to cover only the volume at risk. Finches laid out the options, and the team made the call.

The head start

Time to decide, while there’s still a choice.

Your agronomist can plan the next steps with the growers while the crop is still in the ground, quality can sample the plots that carry the risk, and procurement can cover the shortfall at market rates instead of crisis rates.
